Legacy That Outlives You
Pastor Dave (The Father's House), Kingdom Eyes, and the 400-Year Horizon
Yesterday at my wife Denise and my church, The Father’s House in Vacaville, Pastor Dave Patterson preached a message on legacy that reshaped something deep in me. It was not motivational. It was eternal. It sharpened the finish line and reminded every heart in the room that life is short, stewardship is sacred, and the King is coming.
Pastor Dave taught that fools live as if time will never run out, but the wise live with the finish line in full view. This is not fear. It is clarity. It is the sober joy of knowing one day we will stand before Jesus and give an account for what we did with the breath, resources, influence, and opportunities He entrusted to us.
He centered this reality in Matthew 25, where Jesus describes His return, the separation of sheep and goats, and the startling truth that whatever we did for the least of these, we did directly to Him. Pastor Dave made it clear: this list is not how we earn grace. It is the evidence of grace. When God’s love fills a life, generosity follows. Compassion follows. Kingdom investment follows. Legacy follows.
And this is where our assignment intersects with Kingdom Bitcoin.
Legacy is not just what you leave behind. It is what you plant, what you multiply, and what you set in motion. Proverbs 13:22 says, “A good person leaves an inheritance for their children’s children,” but Kingdom legacy goes even further. It plants mustard seeds that sprout for centuries. It builds for people we will never meet. It prepares abundance for generations not yet born. It carries a 400-year vision.
This is the lens God has given me: thinking in centuries, not seasons. Seeing around corners. Building for children’s children’s children, and even their children after them.
And this is where the Parable of the Talents explodes with relevance. Jesus honors the servants who turned five into ten and two into four. This is Kingdom multiplication. Jesus celebrates 10x returns, 100x returns, 1000x and greater returns, because multiplication is the mark of faithful stewardship. Jesus delights in those who multiply what God gives and release it back into the world with greater impact.
This is why bitcoin matters.
For the last century, fiat currency has robbed families of legacy through inflation and mismanagement. It erodes inheritance. It shrinks the mustard seed. It steals the multiplication that faithful stewardship is meant to produce.
Bitcoin reverses that story.
It is honest money built on truth rather than decay. It is a ledger that cannot be manipulated. It is value that can be preserved for 400 years or more. It creates a financial structure where families can think in centuries again. It empowers stewards to multiply resources with wisdom and conviction. It gives believers a tool to plant mustard seeds today that can become forests for those who come next.
Pastor Dave said, “Live with the finish line in sight.”
Today I add: Build for the generations who will cross that finish line long after you are gone. Multiply what God gave you. Plant beyond your lifespan. Steward with eternal vision.
Because legacy is not yesterday’s memory.
It is tomorrow’s inheritance.
Prayer 🙏
Father, thank You for Pastor Dave and the awakening of eternal vision. Teach us to build boldly, multiply faithfully, and plant mustard seeds that grow for centuries. Let our stewardship extend far beyond our lifetime and bring blessing to generations we will never meet. Amen. ✝️
