God Created Bitcoin: Light, Order, Stewardship
Highlights from God Talks Dallas
Today in Texas Motor Speedway in Dallas, I had the honor of speaking at God Talks. God Talks is a movement and event series that gathers Christian business leaders, entrepreneurs, and creators who believe that faith belongs in the marketplace. Founded by Ed Rush, it equips believers to hear God’s voice in business, lead with integrity, and steward wealth and influence for Kingdom impact. Besides Ed voices like Lance Wallnau, Kris Vallotton, Beth Powell, Lisa Bruton, and Robert Hotchkin, I shared a talk titled:
🎤 “God Created Bitcoin — Light, Order, and Stewardship.”
Yes, I said that out loud to a room full of faith-driven executives. And yes, a few heads tilted immediately. The Bitcoin White Paper is certainly not a long lost book from the Bible nor that Satoshi was a prophet. I’m saying truth leaves fingerprints, and sometimes they look mathematical.
When I built Amazon’s blockchain business, I thought I was developing a technology platform. What I was really uncovering was theology, divine order expressed in code.
🌅 LIGHT — “In the Beginning, Truth”
Everything God begins starts with light. “And God said, ‘Let there be light.’” - Genesis 1:3
In 2008, when the financial world cracked under its own corruption, light broke in again. Banks failed. Governments printed trillions. Trust evaporated. And then, quietly, came a white paper. Anonymous. Mathematical. Immutable.
Bitcoin wasn’t invention. Bitcoin was revelation. Light shining into the financial darkness, exposing manipulation and mirroring divine transparency. When money loses truth, people lose freedom. When truth returns, freedom follows.
⚖️ ORDER — “Honest Scales, Holy Measures”
“The Lord detests dishonest scales.” - Proverbs 11:1
God cares about how we measure value. Inflation is just dishonest weights with better branding. Every printed dollar steals a little grain from the bag.
Here’s the punchline: The original 1935 Monopoly board game is worth more today than #2 1935 U.S. dollars it cost to purchase. The game money held its value better than the real thing. The $2 dollars has lost ~95% of its purchasing power.
That’s what happens when nations detach money from truth. The game becomes more trustworthy than the players.
Bitcoin restores honest scales. Twenty-one million coins. Transparent ledger. No hidden taxes. No kings. No counterfeiters. Bitcoin is not rebellion. Bitcoin is repentance. Order replacing chaos.
💰 STEWARDSHIP — “Faithful With a Few Things; Wealth Transfer”
In Matthew 25, Jesus doesn’t praise the cautious or the comfortable.
He celebrates the faithful, those who steward revelation, not just resources.
You can’t delegate obedience to a bank or financial broker. True self-custody is spiritual custody. I declare, “God, I will hold what You’ve entrusted to me with integrity and purpose.”
The coming wealth transfer isn’t economic; it’s moral. It’s from the unfaithful to the faithful, from those who bury truth to those who build with it.
Bitcoin’s fixed supply teaches discipline. Its transparency teaches accountability. And its scarce design leads to economic abundance.
The rebirth of honest money is not rebellion. It is repentance. A return to truth, justice, and stewardship under God’s order.
When value becomes incorruptible, freedom is reborn.
When love governs every ledger, the Kingdom has come.
Let’s build for that Kingdom. 🙏
🙏 Prayer
Father, thank You for the honor of sharing Your truth at God Talks Dallas.
May every word spoken point back to You — the source of light, order, and stewardship.
Teach us to handle money with integrity and hearts with humility.
Let honest wealth reflect a holy God. ✝️
