Conviction Before Celebration
Congratulations to Morgan and Alex on their Wedding
Today Denise and I are in Waco, Texas, to celebrate the wedding of Morgan Daughtridge and Alex Khoury. Weddings mark covenant, joy, and beginning. Marriages that endure are never built on emotion alone. They are built on conviction.
Morgan embodies that truth in a rare way. And God brought Alex who embodies the same spirit into her life at His perfect timing.
As you all know, I love numbers and their wedding day represents this union perfectly.
01 = New Beginning
10 = Divine Order
26 = Gospel of Christ (God’s manifested love)
Morgan is prophetic not because she speaks boldly, but because she submits to God on the deepest level of any human I have met. Her life is marked by obedience in moments where disobedience would have been easier, safer, or more socially acceptable. Again and again, she has chosen alignment over comfort. Submission over control. Conviction over applause. Denise and I marvel at how we need to take Morgan’s lead in leading our lives by submitting and obey God in everything. Decisions, Relationships, Time. Everything.
That posture is not theoretical. And it has borne fruit.
Morgan recently shared some of her story on the Heaven Meets Earth podcast with our dear friend Abby Robertson Allen. It is worth listening to not because it entertains, but because it confronts. Morgan’s testimony is a reminder that obedience often looks irrational before it looks obvious. Denise and I have been personally blessed by the words Morgan has spoken and written over us, individually and as one. Those words were not flattery. They were instruction.
Conviction is what precedes obedience.
This matters deeply in the Kingdom. And it matters deeply in bitcoin.
Bitcoin is not sustained by hype. It is sustained by conviction. Conviction to follow rules even when breaking them would be profitable. Conviction to submit to a protocol that does not bend for power, popularity, or panic. Conviction to trust a system that does not ask permission, does not plead for adoption, and does not change itself to win favor.
To “submit” to bitcoin is not blind faith. It is disciplined obedience to fixed truth.
Bitcoin does not reward those who demand flexibility. It rewards those who accept constraint. Its rules are not suggestions. They are law. They are protocol. And those who align with them benefit not immediately, not always comfortably, but faithfully over time. It is generational.
That mirrors the Kingdom.
God’s order does not negotiate with preference. Obedience is not partial. Conviction is not seasonal. Submission is not weakness. It is trust made visible through action.
Marriage works the same way.
A covenant that lasts is not sustained by constant novelty. It is sustained by shared submission to God first and above all else, to each other second, and to truth always. Alex and Morgan are not entering marriage with illusions. They are entering it with conviction. That is why their union carries weight.
As Denise and I reflect on our own journey, we are reminded that obedience compounds. Submission multiplies. Conviction clarifies. And joy follows alignment not the other way around.
Today is a celebration. But it is also a marker.
Conviction comes before calling.
Submission comes before increase.
Obedience comes before multiplication.
That is true in marriage.
That is true in bitcoin.
That is true in the Kingdom.
Prayer 🙏💍🕊️
Dear Lord, We thank You for Alex and Morgan.
For their yes before the applause.
For their obedience before understanding.
For their covenant grounded not in emotion, but in truth.
Cover their marriage with clarity, humility, and unwavering conviction.
Teach them to submit first to You, then to each other, and always to truth.
Let their union be a testimony of alignment, endurance, and faithfulness across seasons.
May their home be filled with peace.
May their decisions be marked by discernment.
May their obedience unlock multiplication far beyond what they can see today.
We bless them.
We celebrate them.
We trust You with what You are building through them.
In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🙏✨🕊️
