Block #006: The Table of Exchange
Jesus overturns corruption in every temple — even the temple of money.
Scripture:
“Jesus entered the temple courts and drove out all who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers.” – Matthew 21:12
Reflection/Teaching:
This moment wasn’t about anger, it was about holiness. The temple had become a market. Worship was being taxed. Jesus disrupted a corrupt exchange system that profited from God’s presence.
In our time, financial systems still sit between people and their provision, turning the sacred into the transactional. Bitcoin overturns those tables again. It restores direct exchange from peer to peer, heart to heart without intermediaries. It reclaims the sacredness of honest value transfer.
This is not rebellion but restoration. God is cleansing the temple of money so that His people can give and receive freely again.
Application/Prayer Prompt:
Ask: Where have I allowed profit to replace purpose? How can I use technology and capital to purify the “temple” of my own heart?
Closing Prayer:
Jesus, cleanse my motives in every transaction. May my giving, spending, and building all reflect Your holiness. Amen.
