Block #002: The Just Weight
Sound money is moral money — justice begins when truth measures value.
Scripture:
“A false balance is an abomination to the Lord, but a just weight is His delight.” – Proverbs 11:1
Reflection/Teaching:
Throughout history, money has been humanity’s measure of trust. When weights were manipulated, trade collapsed. When rulers debased the currency, nations fell. God calls this corruption an abomination because it violates justice.
Today, inflation and central control repeat the same sin in digital form. Value is diluted through endless creation of currency, leaving the poor to suffer. Yet bitcoin stands as a modern “just weight.” Its 21 million cap is not a policy; it is a covenant written in code. No man can alter it.
This is why sound money is moral money. When money tells the truth, people are free to act with integrity. When money lies, even honest hearts are tempted toward fear.
Application/Prayer Prompt:
Reflect on your relationship with money. Do you see it as a tool of trust or a weapon of control? How can you honor God by aligning your financial practices with truth and justice?
Closing Prayer:
Lord, help me steward resources with righteousness. May my wealth reflect Your justice and my actions reveal Your truth. Amen.
